What is Open Source?
Open Source is an amazing concept that grew in the technology world, but the concepts are seen in many aspects of life. Seen by some as a philosophy, others as a methodology, we think its a bit of both.
The concept is that the entire code that forms the base of a website is available free for anyone to download and develop, install, test and use, in expectation that your work will be contributed back to all the other people developing, testing and using that system once you're done.
So instead of one or two developers sitting in a room working on your solution, there are actually thousands of developers all over the world.
