C&D go to the 5th International Tool Fair, Venice

This week, Consult and Design participated in the SALTO 5th International Toolfair in San Servolo, Venice.

The 5th edition of the TOOL FAIR was a combination of "laboratories" and "markets" to discover and experience educational tools developed under the YOUTH IN ACTION and EUROMED YOUTH IV programmes.

A space was provided to share, to experiment, to discuss and further develop educational tools used within the different actions (youth exchanges, EVS, youth initiatives, seminars, training).

Consult and Design brought their unique blend of knowledge in ICT and lengthy experience of youth projects, particularly on the International level to present a new Toolkit for training bloggers in the EuroMed region, developed with the Anna Lindh Foundation.

Despite the initial fear of flooding and a first day of torrential rain, the sun came out and complemented an intense few days of networking, developing new ideas and sharing experience. We felt very privileged to work alongside a plethora of European talent of youth workers and trainers with hundreds of years of experience between them.

The organisation of the project was top notch and the programme gave both structured and open opportunities to work on our tools. In particular the workshop on the Bloggers toolkit was especially successful, gaining advice and insight from a range of International experts that will be invaluable in the final stages of the tool's development.

With a brain full of new ideas and inspirations, we are already clear that the trip has brought a great deal of future potential and we hope that our consultant was able to bring something to the participants at the event too.
